PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of smoothly extruding a coke cake without entailing a push-up blockage accompanying the swelling of the coke cake.SOLUTION: In this method, the height of a coke cake within a coke oven carbonization chamber is measured on an occasion for extruding the coke cake, whereas in a case where the gap between the apex of the coke cake and the oven ceiling has reached a gap predicted to yield a push-up blockage, the operation of an extruder is temporarily stopped, and after a ram has been provisionally retracted, the extrusion of the coke cake may be resumed after a period of standing by for the disintegration of the coke cake or the coke cake may be extruded by using a crushing stick according to adventitious needs. |
