PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation element capable of efficiently generating power in a relatively simple configuration.SOLUTION: A power generation element 1 comprises: two columnar magnetostriction bodies 61 and 62 comprising a magnetostrictive material and allowing magnetic force lines to pass through in the axial direction; a pressurizing body 5 including pressurizing parts 51 and 52 arranged to pressurize the magnetostriction bodies 61 and 62 by rotation and a rod-like part 59 rotating the pressurizing parts 51 and 52; and a coil 7 arranged so that the magnetic force lines pass through in the axial direction and generating voltage according to a change of the density of the magnetic force lines. The pressurizing parts 51 and 52 are rotated with the rotation of the rod-like part 59 around the rotation center, the magnetostriction bodies 61 and 62 are pressurized with the pressurizing parts 51 and 52 to be compressed, and thereby the density of the magnetic force lines is changed. |
