PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily retrieve books in a library.SOLUTION: A user accesses a library by using a PC to retrieve a desired book. The user photographs a call number image displayed on a retrieval result screen of the PC by using a terminal device, and sends the image together with facility information indicating the library to a server. The server applies character recognition processing to the received photographed image to extract the call number included in the call number image, retrieves in a book information DB on the basis of the call number and facility information, and acquires an attribute information list including access information to map information indicating at least a shelving location of a book for the call number corresponding to the call number. The attribute information list is sent from the server to the terminal device, and the terminal device displays the attribute information list. The user can select "location confirmation page" in the attribute information list to access the map information indicating the shelving location of the retrieved book in the library. |
