PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration evaluation method of a machine component capable of accurately evaluating deterioration of the machine component formed of heat-resisting steel even when use conditions are under a high temperature and a high stress.SOLUTION: The deterioration evaluation method of a machine component includes: creating a replica of a deposit deposited on a steel composition of a machine component formed of heat-resisting steel by an extraction replica method; imaging a created replica by an electron microscope to obtain a reflection electron image of the deposit; classifying the deposits into a Laves phase and any deposit other than the Laves phase in accordance with brightness of an obtained reflection electron image; calculating an average area per deposit other than the Laves phase; and calculating a degree of creep damage of the heat-resisting steel by using the average area as an index value to evaluate the deterioration of the machine component. |
