<p>1292210 Treating sewage VATTENBYGGNADSBYRAN AB 16 April 1970 [23 April 1969] 18323/70 Heading C1C Raw sewage is subjected to initial treatment in a strainer and sand trap 1 after which it is settled in primary settling tank 2 from which the clarified sewage is passed to an aeration tank 11 and at least a portion of the primary sludge is passed via a homogenizer 3 to a tank 4 in which it is subjected to intensive aeration to produce a highly activated sludge with a culture of heterotrophic bacteria, such highly activated sludge being supplied to the aeration tank 11 before or after the supply of the clarified sewage thereto. The aerated mixture is passed to a tank 13, to which may be supplied coagulants from a source 14, and subjected to stirring before final settling and sludge removal in tank 15.</p> |
