PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal barrier material and the manufacturing method of the thermal barrier material, which are applicable to plasma spraying, HVOF spraying, Rokide (R) flame spraying, and flame spraying, allows formation of coating films having thermal barrier effect against surface of metal base materials or ceramic base materials, and to provide a thermal barrier coating film consisting of thermal barrier material, and a formation method of the thermal barrier coating film.SOLUTION: Thermal barrier material including thermal barrier powder 3 consisting of metal oxide of which surface is covered with boron oxide, and boron oxide 4, is flame-sprayed onto a metal base material 1 or ceramic base material 1 to form thermal barrier coating film 2. |
