PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amino acid-modified organopolysiloxane by reacting an amino-modified organopolysiloxane and L-asparaginyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester as an amino acid derivative, and a cosmetic containing the amino acid-modified organopolysiloxane, which can solve the problems when blended in hair cosmetics and skin cosmetics.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing an amino acid-modified organopolysiloxane, wherein L-asparaginyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester or cyclo(L-asparaginyl-L-phenylalanine) and an amino-modified organopolysiloxane are reacted. According to the invention, there can be obtained an amino acid-modified organopolysiloxane by a simple process, which, when blended in a cosmetic, provides a moist feeling and smoothness and shows excellent durability. |
