PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of improving energy efficiency by actualizing a low-cost device construction to minimize the number of collection ports through which return heat source water returning from a use-side heat exchanger for heating a heated object to a hot water storage tank is collected into the hot water storage tank.SOLUTION: A hot water storage type water heater includes: means for performing heat source water upside-return operation with which, after hot water taken out of an upside region of a hot water storage tank 1 is delivered as heat source water to a use-side heat exchanger (a reheating heat exchanger 13), the heat source water passed through the use-side heat exchanger flows into the upside region of the hot water storage tank 1; means for performing heat source water downside-return operation with which, after the hot water taken out of the upside region of the hot water storage tank 1 is delivered as the heat source water to the use-side heat exchanger, the heat source water passed through the use-side heat exchanger flows into a downside region of the hot water storage tank 1; and control means (a control part 21) for restricting the heating capability when heating a heated object with the heat source water upside-return operation, to be lower than heating capability when heating the heated object with the heat source water downside-return operation. |
