<p>597011 Disclosed is a method for transaction authorization with the use of a mobile phone. A communication server receives a voice call establishment request (102) to establish a voice connection to a telephone number which uniquely identifies a transaction. The voice call establishment request is rejected (108) if this request has been determined as a request for transaction authorization to be executed with the use of a text channel or is accepted (106) if the request has been determined as an authorization request to be executed via a voice channel. Information about the request is transmitted (110) from the communication server to an authorization system and contains at least a telephone number of a user and the telephone number identifying the transaction. A request to enter necessary transaction parameters (116) is then transmitted from the authorization system to the user and the necessary transaction parameters are then transferred (118) from the user’s handset. The correctness and completeness of the transaction parameters received by the authorization system are then verified (120) and a determination is made whether a transaction amount has been accepted (124) by a transaction party responsible for transaction funding. If the amount has been accepted, a message is sent containing instruction to reserve sufficient funds in a transaction funding party account to settle the transaction (132). The completeness of all the transaction parameters received by the authorization system is verified and the transaction for settlement is transferred if the verification step was completed successfully.</p> |
