The inverter (2) has a semiconductors switch (8) and a conducting bar (16) in electric contact with the switch. A printed circuit plate (12) includes electronic control components e.g. control unit (13) for controlling the switch. The bar is arranged at a distance from the plate, and has a shunt (24), which is put in contact with the plate by contact legs (40). The shunt is mounted on an alternative current side relative to the switch. A setting casing (42) is formed on the bar for receiving a connection cord (18) of an electrical motor (4).
