593884 Disclosed is a fitment for use on a collapsible bag for dispensing liquids or semi-solids from the bag. The fitment comprises a spout (50) having a generally cylindrical body attached to the collapsible bag, a slidably removable tubular probe assembly (10) and a cap (30), having a flexible cap duckbill (20) positioned within an opening (32) in the cap, attached to the spout. The cap further includes an outer collar, an inner collar and a hollow cylinder section fixedly attached to the inner collar at one end. The tubular probe assembly allows for the flow of fluid when engaged with a probe assembly (10) and reversibly seals upon removal of the tubular probe assembly. This advantageously prevents the backflow of fluid from the collapsible bag when the probe assembly is not attached. |
