WIDE-ANGLE OPTICAL UNIT FOR OPHTHALMOLOGICAL IMPLANTS

Wide-angle optical unit for ophthalmological implants in the eye. The problem is that of designing the wide-angle optical unit such that it does not restrict sight in a central field of vision and at the same time also ensures peripheral vision of the implant bearer. The problem is solved by a wide-angle optical unit comprising a lens system (2) arranged rotationally symmetrically about an optical axis (5), comprising at least two lenses (8-12) lying areally one on another and composed of materials having different optical refractive indexes, and also a lens (4) which is arranged proximally with respect to the inside of the eye and around which an optical coupling-out structure (6) is placed.
