PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell that is excellent in power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: A dye-sensitized solar cell 1 comprises: a substrate 2; a transparent conductive film layer 3 formed on a central part of the substrate 2; a porous semiconductor layer 4 formed on the transparent conductive film layer 3; a sensitizing dye 5 adsorbed to the porous semiconductor layer 4; a counter electrode 6 formed on the substrate 2 separately from the porous semiconductor layer 4 so as to be opposed to the substrate 2; a charge transport layer 7 formed between the porous semiconductor layer 4 and the counter electrode 6; and an encapsulation material 8 formed to a peripheral part of the substrate 2 so as to prevent the charge transport layer 7 from being out of the system, and encapsulating the substrate 2 and the counter electrode 6. The substrate 2 has a recessed part 20 surrounding the porous semiconductor layer, between the central part where the transparent conductive film layer 3 is formed and the peripheral part where the encapsulation material 8 is formed. A drying material 9 absorbing moisture existing in the charge transport layer 7 is embedded in the recessed part 20 so as to be contacted with the charge transport layer 7. |
