PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing terminal and a method which enhance user's convenience.SOLUTION: An information processing terminal comprises: storage means; setting means; detection means; start control means; and display control means. The storage means stores applications for controlling external devices connected to a network. The setting means registers settings of a specific external device selected from the external devices. The detection means detects a trigger for starting the application. The start control means starts the applications for controlling the external devices without releasing a lock function on the basis of the trigger. When the plurality of applications concern the specific external device, in response to the trigger, the display control means displays a list of the applications and performs display control of a screen for requiring a user to select any of the applications. The start control means starts the application selected in the screen. |
