PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of working with a new limited reception method by means of broadcast signals that do not affect the reception of existing digital broadcast receivers.SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 1Bincludes: access control descriptor separation means 11B for separating an access control descriptor from a PMT and a CAT that contain a limited reception method descriptor and the access control descriptor identifying different limited reception methods, the PMT and the CAT have been separated by demultiplexing means 10, and for extracting a packet identification described in the access control descriptor and transmission information that indicates a transmission route of ECM and EMM; and filtering means 12B for extracting ECM and EMM corresponding to the packet identification from the ECM and EMM transmitted in the transmission route. Limited reception control means 13 decrypts content from the filtered ECM/EMM.
