Provided is an inexpensive solenoid drive device delivering high magnetic performance, wherein a section for housing a plunger and a section for sucking the plunger are formed in an integrated manner on one highly-magnetic core. A core (3) is provided with a magnetic flux restriction part (7) which is formed in a region that is more towards the biasing direction (FF) than a first virtual boundary surface (V1) and of which the thickness in the radial direction (R) is thin, and a diameter expansion part (8) which is formed in a manner such that the thickness in the radial direction (R) becomes continuously or gradually thicker from the first virtual boundary surface (V1) towards the opposite biasing direction (FR). The diameter expansion part (8) has a concave part (8c) of which the outer surface is indented towards the radial direction inner surface relative to a predetermined diameter expansion reference line (Lref) in the axial direction cross-section of the core (3). |
