The object of the invention is to avoid interference between an exhaust gas purification device (2) and a hoisting clasp (81) when the exhaust gas purification device (2) is mounted in an engine (1), and to ensure coupling strength between the engine (1) and the hoisting clasp (81) as well as balance throughout the engine (1) during hoisting. This engine device comprises an exhaust gas purification device (2) for purifying exhaust gas of the engine (1). The exhaust gas purification device (2) is installed in the engine (1) via a mounting seat (70). The bottom end of the hoisting clasp (81) for hoisting the engine (1) is fastened to the mounting seat (70(72)). The top end of the hoisting clasp (81) is extended so as to align with the outer periphery of the exhaust gas purification device (2). |
