PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce, when a management device manages a plurality of pieces of equipment, power consumption of the equipment to be managed as a whole, while allowing use of the equipment designated by a user.SOLUTION: A management device managing a plurality of pieces of equipment communicable via a network receives a use request for requesting use of the equipment to be managed, and upon reception of the use request, selects equipment not operating in a power-saving mode as target equipment from among the equipment to be managed other than equipment caused to perform an operation according to the received use request (S13), and transmits an instruction of transition to a power-saving mode to the selected target equipment (S14). |
