PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, an image processing apparatus, and a program by which a layout image on which desired objects are properly arranged can be output.SOLUTION: An image processing method includes the steps of: acquiring main object information specifying a main object in creating a layout image; acquiring object correlation information specifying an object having correlation with the main object; and at least extracting an image including the main object and an image including the object having correlation with the main object from a plurality of images, on the basis of the main object information acquired by main object acquisition means and the object correlation information acquired by object correlation information acquisition means.
