PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facing devices, a processing cartridge and an image forming apparatus with reduced failure of having an abnormal image such as a striped image formed by an occurrence of oscillation in a roller member which is in slide contact with an image carrier.SOLUTION: The facing devices 15 face an image carrier 11 carrying a toner image and a roller member 15a rotating in a prescribed direction while being in contact with a surface of the image carrier 11 and a rolling bearing 15m inserted into shaft units 15a1 on both ends in the direction of a rotational axis in the roller member 15a are installed. In addition, the roller member 15a is retained to the facing devices 15 through the rolling bearing 15m.
