PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that imports, at the time of importing electronic certificates, only necessary certificates by importing electronic certificates after performing validity determination of the electronic certificates including determination as to whether the apparatus supports an encryption method corresponding to the electronic certificates.SOLUTION: Provided is an image forming apparatus 14 that performs encryption communication by using electronic certificates. The image forming apparatus 14 determines whether or not the electronic certificates are valid at least through determination as to whether or not the image forming apparatus 14 supports an encryption method corresponding to the electronic certificates at the time of importing the electronic certificates, and when the electronic certificates are determined to be valid, imports the electronic certificates to the image forming apparatus. |
