PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinhole inspection device for a can body, which is capable of effectively preventing ambient light from reaching the photodetector side through a space between a movable plate and a rotating turret due to a surface state or the like and to provide a pinhole inspection device for a can body, which is capable of detecting a pinhole having a smaller diameter by using a light source of high luminosity.SOLUTION: The pinhole inspection device for a can body includes: a rotating turret having a through hole piercing it; a can body holding member on which a can body is placed coaxially with the through hole; a light source which irradiates the can body with light; a movable plate provided opposite to the rotating turret on the fixed frame side; and a photodetector which detects light leaked into the can body. As a shielding mechanism, a plurality of annular grooves having a rectangular cross section are formed on a surface of the movable plate like circles concentric to a through hole of the movable plate. |
