PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of focusing on a main subject when performing panning, and a focus adjustment method of an imaging device.SOLUTION: A focus adjustment method of an imaging device comprises the steps of: calculating a spatial frequency related to a direction of movement (swing direction) of an image in an imaging screen for each of predetermined areas (S5); performing weighting of priority according to the calculated spatial frequency for each of the predetermined areas (S7); detecting a change in contrast between a plurality of image signals acquired in different times for each of the predetermined areas (S9); performing weighting of priority according to the calculated contrast change amount for each of the predetermined areas (S11); setting a predetermined area having higher weighted priority as an AF area (S19); and performing AF (S23). |
