PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouthpiece for sports that is capable of preventing chipping of a tooth while playing sports.SOLUTION: A mouthpiece for sports comprises: a pair of protection parts 3 and 3 for covering each occlusal surface of left and light molar teeth; and an engaging member 5 for connecting the protection parts 3 and 3 with each other. Each protection part 3 comprises: a plate-like piece 7 that is arranged at a position corresponding to the occlusion part of the molar tooth; an outer piece 11 that is formed by extending downward in a rectangular plate shape from a longitudinal outside end edge of the plate-like piece 7; and an inner piece 3 that is formed by extending downward in a rectangular plate shape from a longitudinal inner end edge of the plate-like piece 7. The protection part 3 is formed to have a downward approximately-U-shaped cross section. A lower end part 11a of the outer piece 11 is formed by expanding a cross section toward the longitudinal inner side in an approximately arc shape. The engaging member 5 is formed to be approximately U-shaped and is arranged so as to cover the back of the teeth along a tooth row, and each of end parts 5a and 5a thereof is connected to a lower end part of the inner piece 13 of each protection part 3. |
