PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that can supply hot water of necessary temperature by a necessary amount as required by a user, has a quick response speed and saves energy, and cope with a desired temperature that the user specifies even when the desired temperature is higher or lower than a storage temperature.SOLUTION: A water heater includes a heat insulation vessel 101 in which hot water heated up to a predetermined temperature is reserved, a heating tool and a temperature sensor 107 arranged halfway in a hot water feed pipe for feeding hot water therefrom to a tap 103, and a controller 108 controlling the heat tool so as to obtain a desired hot-water tapping amount and a tapping temperature according to the temperature of the hot water obtained therefrom and a transport speed (amount) obtained by a pump 105 and a hot-water speed sensor, so that when the user uses hot water, the temperature of the hot water to be used is controlled from the storage temperature to the desired temperature. |
