The electrode has a silicon dioxide layer (2) which is arranged on planar silicon substrate (1). A metal film structure is provided with titanium layer (3), platinum layer (4), and gold layer (5) that are arranged in an order on the silicon dioxide layer. A glass layer (9) containing silicate glasses and 20-40 %mass metal oxide, is made to cover the metal film structure. The electrode base element with polymer layer (10) is arranged on glass layer, such that a geometric defined window of the glass layer is uncovered. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing miniaturized potentiometric indicator electrode for determining reduction-oxidation potential on glass base.
