An indoor navigation methods and system for navigating a mobile device couple with a user, inside a particular indoor facility. The system includes an indoor navigation services server and at least one mobile device, having an activated indoor navigation management module being in communication flow with the indoor navigation services server. The method includes identifying the particular indoor facility and sending that identity to the indoor-navigation-services server; receiving data associated with the particular indoor facility, including site-maps and beacons, including the location and dimensions of the beacons; receiving a plurality of sensed data readings from selected sensors of the mobile device; determining the position of the mobile device, inside the particular indoor facility, from an acquired image frame; tracking movements of the mobile device, using elements detected in an acquired sequence of image frames; and updating the position of the mobile device, using the tracked movements of the mobile device. |
