<p>Provided is technology capable of limiting the persistence of air bubbles in a paste such as an electrode compound without performing a separate process for removing air bubbles from the paste. The biaxial extrusion kneader is provided with a housing (10), rotation axes (20, 30), multiple paddles (24, 24 ...) and multiple paddles (34, 34 ...) for kneading material supplied into the housing (10), spacers (22, 23) and spacers (32, 33) disposed upstream of the kneading section (C) of a kneading chamber (11), and a vacuum pump (50).
