PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate problems caused when communication control means needs to switch from a currently connected base station to another base station along the route due to, for example, loss of a signal from the current base station.SOLUTION: There is provided a method that provides data communication with a vehicle (1). The method comprises: receiving from a device (2) associated with the vehicle at an intermediate device (12, 13, 16, 17), a first data packet comprising a first identifier identifying the vehicle; modifying the first identifier to identify the intermediate device; and forwarding the modified first data packet from the intermediate device to a further device (4). A communication session between the device associated with the vehicle and the further device is established, and a session identifier is associated with the communications session. The first data packet comprises the session identifier and the modified data packet comprises the session identifier. |
