PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection device in which a component causing a failure is effectively identified.SOLUTION: A failure part detection device 10 stores a failure analysis database 21 indicative of another component to which when a component owned by a monitoring target device 1 is out of order, the failure spreads. Also, the failure part detection device 10 stores a waiting time table 22 indicative of a waiting time during which when a component has a failure, the failure spreads to another component. When the failure part detection device 10 detects a failure of a component first, the failure part detection device 10 acquires spread information of a failed component from the failure analysis database 21, and reads a waiting time of a failed component out of the waiting time table 22. The failure part detection device 10 determines, as a notification candidate, a component for which a failure is detected first, and a component which has newly failed during an interval when the read waiting time lapses. Thereafter, the failure part detection device 10 notifies of a component which is not included in the spread information among notification candidate after elapse of the waiting time as the failed component. |
