PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holder which is made compact in a direction parallel to a direction in which a brush is pressed against an electric connection part rotating together with a rotator of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A brush holder 101 includes a brush 5 which comes into contact with an electric connection part 10 provided to a rotator of a rotary electric machine and rotating together with the rotator, and a brush spring 6 which applies the brush 5 with elastic force for pressing the brush 5 against the electric connection part 10. The brush spring 6 includes linear parts 6d, 6e, and 6f which come into contact with an outside end 5a of the brush 5 on the opposite side from the pressing direction, and tension coil springs 6a, 6b, and 6c which apply the brush 5 with the elastic force through the linear parts 6d, 6e, and 6f. Further, the tension coil springs 6a, 6b, and 6c are positioned within a cylinder A including a center axis 1c of rotation of the electric connection part 10 as a center axis and the outside end 5a on a circumferential plane. |
