Disclosed are a device and service discovery method and device middleware. The method comprises: a user terminal device broadcasting its own device information and service capability information, and searching for information about a peripheral service network, information about a device not joining the service network, and service capability information about the device; if it is discovered that a service network, in which the user terminal device has a service capability required to accomplish a service, exists in the periphery, the user terminal device being configured to join the service network, and interacting with a central node of the service network to accomplish the service; and if the service network is not discovered, the user terminal device selecting a central node from a device which does not join a service network and has the service capability required to accomplish the service, being configured to generate a service network according to the selected central node, and interacting with the selected central node to accomplish the service. Through discovery, acquisition and networking of peripheral available service resources, the present invention can accomplish the provision of a ubiquitous service. |
