<p>In the present invention, an overhead traveling vehicle (4) is configured so as to not erroneously detect the track (10) or the like of a local cart (8) as an obstacle. The overhead traveling vehicle (4) is provided with a hoist (22) and a first sensor (38) that monitors obstacles that are below said sensor. The local cart (8) is provided with a hoist (27) and travels along the track (10). A buffer (12) is suspended from the track (10) by means of a downward-facing vertical pole (32). The buffer (12) member is not provided to the area directly above the loading ports (16, 17). A second sensor (36) for monitoring obstructions in the vicinity of the loading ports (16, 17) and in a pathway-side area that is opposite a processing device (13) is provided to the track (10), and transmits an obstruction detection signal to the overhead traveling vehicle (4) and the local cart (8). Upon receiving an obstruction detection signal from the second sensor (36), the overhead traveling vehicle (4) and the local cart (8) stop the hoists (22, 27) and the overhead traveling vehicle (4) does not use the first sensor (38) to monitor obstructions in the pathway-side area.</p> |
