PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily operable multi electrode catheter for non contact mapping of the heart.SOLUTION: The non contact mapping catheter comprises: a proximal handle section 30 having an articulation control part and a deployment control part and connected to a proximal end; an intermediate section 32 connected to the proximal handle section; a deflectable section 34 connected to the intermediate section, and adapted to articulate in a plane through an angle in response to the articulation control part; a distal array section 36 connected to the deflectable section, and including a deployable electrode array that can move from a first retracted position to a second deployed position through a plurality of known intermediate states, with it having a known shape in each intermediate state; and a deployment mechanism coupled to the deployment control part for coupling motion of the deployment control part to the deployable electrode array to cause the electrode array to deploy. |
