PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for performing location determination and providing location information via a location based service (LBS) architecture to create and maintain a social network.SOLUTION: The system activates a feature from a wireless terminal, registers from the wireless terminal with a location based service associated with the feature, creates a profile of a user of the feature, and displays candidates on the basis of the profile and of the geographic location of the candidates. A Global Positioning System (GPS) is used to geographically locate active users of the feature. An activity map is associated with the feature, the activity map displaying active users of the feature. |
