PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a vibration type actuator which can perform highly-accurate driving control at low cost, and to provide a driving circuit.SOLUTION: The driving device for a vibration type actuator includes an AC voltage application section having a driving signal generation section 21 for variably controlling at least frequency or amplitude of an applied voltage which is applied to a vibration body of a vibration type actuator. The driving signal generation section 21 includes: a variable cycle setting section 201 for outputting a PWM cycle value which is set so that an average value in the PWM cycle in a first cycle of the target cycle for the applied voltage can be a value equivalent to 1/(integer) of the target cycle by variably adjusting the PWM cycle aperiodically; a driving waveform information output section 202 for outputting driving waveform information on the applied voltage which is generated using fixed phase information of a sine wave; and a variable cycle PWM signal generation section 204 which generates a PWM signal in which the cycle is variable on the basis of a set value of the PWM cycle which is output from the variable cycle setting section 201 and the driving waveform information which is outputted from the driving waveform information output section 202. The driving signal generation section 21 consists of a digital circuit. |
