PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package grouping unit which is designed to provide a straightforward low-cost solution, i.e., which is not bulky, facilitates output and hardly causes slippage between packages and a conveyor.SOLUTION: The unit comprises: a receiving station arranged in a plurality of longitudinal lines parallel to a transfer path; an output station for groups consisting of a given number of packages which are from respective longitudinal lines and aligned in at least one line crosswise to the transfer path; a movable conveying surface, which is supplied at predetermined time intervals with as many packages as those in each group, and which feeds the packages along the transfer path; an aligning member moved cyclically along a first moving path having a work portion parallel to the transfer path; and a push member moved cyclically along a second moving path having a work portion parallel to the receiving transfer path. The aligning member and the push member are moved respectively by independent first and second conveying means, and the work portions of the first and second moving paths coincide with each other. |
