PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a drop in detection accuracy attributable to an electrode in contact with end faces of magneto-resistive elements.SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor is provided with MR elements 50A and 50B and an electrode 40A that electrically connects these elements. The electrode 40A has a first part 41 having a first face 41a, a second part 42 having a second face 42a, and a linking part 43 linking these parts. The first face 41a is in contact with an end face of the MR element 50A, and the second face 42a is in contact with an end face of the MR element 50B. Each of the first face 41a and the second face 42a has a rotationally symmetrical shape of not less than threefold symmetry. The diameter of a first inscribed circle 41B inscribed in the outer edge of the first face 41a and that of a second inscribed circle 42B inscribed in the outer edge of the second face 42a are greater than the width W of the linking part. |
