The rear end part and the front end part of two carrier tapes (14) are detected by means of a first tape detection sensor (S1) and a second tape detection sensor (S2) at a first detection position (P1) and a second detection position (P2) that are set along a tape travel path (5c). A tape feeding control unit (26) controls a first tape feeding mechanism (20A) and a second tape feeding mechanism (20B) so as to control the interval between the rear end part and the front end part such that the interval follows an interval control pattern.
