PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus, an image display method, and an eyeglass apparatus capable of simply and efficiently changing a content under viewing without inflicting a damage on the other users, by providing a display apparatus which allows plural viewers to view plural 2D or 3D contents.SOLUTION: The image display apparatus includes: a signal processor capable of constituting image frames of 2D contents or 3D contents; an output unit capable of operating in a first mode of displaying on a display unit the video frames of the 2D contents outputted from the signal processor or a second mode of displaying on the display unit the video frames of the 3D contents outputted from the signal processor; an interface unit which receives a user command; and a controller which performs control to output the image frames while switching between operating in the first mode and the second mode in accordance with the mode switch command received via the interface unit.
