Provided are a method and device for sending/receiving a new carrier reference signal. The sending method comprises: when a downlink pilot time slot (DwPTS) in a special subframe of a new carrier occupies the first three orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of the special subframe, configuring a reference signal in one or more OFDM symbols of the three OFDM symbols (S202); and sending the reference signal through the special subframe (S204); wherein configuring the reference signal in one or more OFDM symbols of the three OFDM symbols comprises: in one subframe, mapping the reference signal to one or more OFDM symbols of the three OFDM symbols in a time-domain direction; in a frequency-domain direction, keeping the subcarriers of the reference signal which are mapped to the one or more OFDM symbols of the three OFDM symbols the same; and in the subframe, mapping the reference signal from a preset carrier by keeping an interval of a preset number of subcarriers.
