PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drift tube linear accelerator for injector in which power saving even of an IH type linear accelerator is achieved without providing an external tuner.SOLUTION: In a drift tube linear accelerator 30, an acceleration cavity 6 is formed of a central plate 4 and a pair of semi-cylindrical tubes 5a, 5b, and the central plate 4 has a ridge 2, a stem 3 connecting the ridge 2 and a drift tube electrode 1, and the drift tube electrode 1, manufactured from the same block. In the cross section orthogonal to a beam acceleration central axis 20, the acceleration cavity 6 is orthogonal to a plane direction central axis 21 in the stretching direction of the stem 3 in the central plate 4, and a cavity inside diameter d1 in the X direction passing through the beam acceleration central axis 20 is longer than a cavity inside diameter d2 in the Y direction parallel with the plane direction central axis 21. |
