PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that enables producing a transparent silica glass product having relatively complex shape with high purity, high accuracy and good productivity.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a transparent silica glass product by mixing silica fine particles and cellulose, performing injection molding, degreasing and baking, the cellulose derivative is the one selected from methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose that is heat-gellable reversibly in aqueous solution, which is added to water heated to its gelation temperature or higher then cooled to dissolve it, mixed with silica fine particles, degreased, purified and baked. |
