PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quiet and compact stepping motor that restricts displacement of a shaft in a radial direction and reduces rattle noise.SOLUTION: A stepping motor includes: yokes 4, 5, 6, and 7 each having a plurality of pole teeth that are formed like comb teeth and are circumferentially alternated; excitation coils 8 and 9 that excite the yokes 4, 5, 6, and 7; a shaft 11 that has a rotor magnet 12 having an outer circumferential surface that is magnetized to form alternated different poles; a bearing section 13 that supports an end of the shaft 11 rotatably; a first bearing 2 that supports an end of the shaft 11 nearer to a stator rotatably; a second bearing 3 that urges the first bearing 2 in a thrust direction; and urging means 1 that urges the second bearing 3 and an end surface of the shaft 11 nearer to the stator in the thrust direction. Pressing force with which the urging means 1 urges the second bearing 3 in the thrust direction is converted in a radial direction, by a tapered portion formed in the first bearing 2, so as to urge the end of the shaft 11 in the radial direction. |
