PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: efficiency of a maximum peak power tracking (MPPT) has to be improved; and it is necessary to optimize a speed of varying the electric current with respect to a system property that changes in real time in a system including control means controlling a solar battery cell electric current to an electric current target value by a switching control, electric current target value varying means, a detection mode of gradually increasing the electric current target value and calculating an electric current target value at a maximum power point, and a normal mode of operating the system by the calculated electric current target value.SOLUTION: A solar power generation system is configured to include: electric current control means that controls a switching element to control electric current through a solar battery cell to a value substantially equal to the electric current target value; target value varying means that varies the electric current target value; the detection mode in which power is calculated each time the electric current target value is gradually increased from zero so that the electric current target value at a maximum power point is calculated; and the normal mode in which the system is operated by the calculated electric current target value. An electric current increase amount in the target value varying means is selected as necessary so that an optimal increase amount is calculated in the shortest time. |
