[Problem] To calculate the amount of translational movement while minimizing an error generated in an acceleration sensor and so forth. [Solution] A shake amount detection device according to the present invention executes: first integration processing in which a first acceleration is integrated over time to calculate a first speed; second integration processing in which the first speed is integrated over time to calculate the amount of movement in a first axial direction; estimation processing for calculating an estimated first speed in the first axial direction on the basis of a first speed change in which the first acceleration is integrated over a period of time from a first timing when a third angular velocity is zero to a second timing when the third angular velocity again becomes zero again, a second angular velocity at the first timing, and the second angular velocity at the second timing; and update processing for updating the first speed calculated by the first integration processing to the estimated first speed estimated by the estimation processing.
