PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing reduction of the yield due to short-circuiting across wirings.SOLUTION: The display device having a display area disposed with plural pixels in a matrix includes: a substrate 100 (first substrate); a lower wiring layer including a power supply wiring PL which is set to a first potential formed above the substrate 100; a flattened layer 106 formed above the lower wiring layer; an upper wiring layer including an auxiliary wiring AL which is set to a second potential different from the first potential formed above the flattened layer 106; and a counter substrate 50 formed above the upper wiring layer. Defining an area where the power supply wiring PL and the auxiliary wiring AL are overlapped with each other in the display area when the counter substrate 50 is viewed from the above as overlapping area, a protection film 116 is formed above the flattened layer 106 in the overlapping area to prevent the power supply wiring PL and the auxiliary wiring AL from short-circuiting. |
