PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate and an apparatus for manufacturing a polarizing plate, in which deformation such as wrinkles or intrusion of air bubbles are suppressed.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a polarizing plate includes: an adhesive application step of applying an active energy-curable adhesive on one surface of a transparent film or on one surface or both surfaces of a polarizing film; a bonding step of nipping a laminate prepared by laminating the transparent film on one surface or both surfaces of the polarizing film via the adhesive, between a pair of bonding rolls rotating in a conveyance direction, and while nipping, pressing at least one bonding roll to the other roll so as to bond the transparent film with the polarizing film; and an active energy ray irradiation step of irradiating the laminate with active energy rays to cure the adhesive. At least one of the pair of bonding rolls is a metal roll, and the metal roll has a surface roughness of 0.5 μm or more. |
