PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white toner that can be used in a low-temperature fixing system, has sufficient image intensity, good chargeability, and high shielding performance, and can form good white images; and a manufacturing method of the white toner.SOLUTION: A white toner for electrostatic charge image development contains at least a binder resin, a white pigment, and a mold release agent; and the white pigment is dispersed in the binder resin while being coated with the mold release agent. The binder resin is preferably a polyester-based resin, and the white pigment is preferably titanium dioxide.
