PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable wired communication to be easily performed to an IC chip which can perform communication both types of a wireless type and a wired type.SOLUTION: A communication adapter 20 having an antenna for short-range wireless communication, and attached to a reader 30 for reading information in communication using the antenna for short-range wireless communication to make information of an IC chip 19 performing a passive operation corresponding to an active operation of the reader 30 readable with a contact type includes an adapter side antenna 23 which can perform short-range wireless communication with an antenna for short-range wireless communication, adapter side contact terminals C1, C2 connected to the adapter side antenna 23 and electrically connectable to contact terminals B1, B2 connected to the IC chip 19, and a cover 26 holding the adapter side antenna 23 at a positional relation so as to be able to perform transmission and reception to/from the antenna belonging to the reader 30. |
